There’s no reason your kids shouldn’t be put to work swinging a hammer. Well, I mean, not at your house, but Home Depot welcomes the little doer builders!
On the first Saturday each month, starting at 9am, while supplies last Home Depot offers a free workshop for kids to build their own wooden masterpiece. Designed for kids ages 5-12, but all ages welcome!
The Home Depot Kids Workshops is a hands-on learning experience that encourages skill-building and creativity. Skills such as following step-by-step instructions, working with hand tools like hammers and screwdrivers, and painting. The Workshops are hosted by store associates who also serve as Workshop Captains. Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian to assist them with completing the workshop kit. The time for completing the kits varies but usually takes 30 minutes. Each child can bring home a newly constructed project, a Kids Workshops apron, an achievement pin, and a certificate.
Register and show up anytime between 9am and 12pm, and your child will be outfitted with the hallmark orange apron and the tools to create a wooden “whatever” (each month is a new project). And yes, they get to bring their timbered showpiece home for all to admire, along with a certificate of achievement and a snazzy pin for their apron. Did we mention it was FREE? Good job Deeps, we salute you.
While supplies last and due to the popularity of the Kids Workshops, kits for every participant can’t be guaranteed so REGISTER and arrive early!
