Upcoming FREE DIY Kids’ Workshops at Lowe’s! September 12th: Haunted House

FREE monthly DIY Kids’ Workshops at Lowes welcome you for in-store building!

Calling all Builders! DIY-U Kids’ Workshop by Lowe’s offers fun, hands-on projects that teach kids essential building skills. Workshops are generally recommended for kids ages 4 through 11 with parent or guardian supervision.

Workshops are held once a month, typically on the third Saturday. Each workshop lasts about 30 – 45 minutes, depending on the age of the child and the complexity of the month’s kit.

Bring your mini-DIYer into Lowe’s at one of the select time slots you sign up for. Workshops hosted by one our Red Vest experts are held from 10:00am – 1:00pm, in-store only.

Register using your MyLowe’s Rewards account for free monthly workshops and create lasting memories.

DIY Kids’ Workshop kits are very limited, so be sure to register RESERVE YOUR SPOT HERE ahead of time and before the times are all gone!

If you are unable to attend during your selected timeslot, your kit may be given away to walk-ins starting at 1:00pm, the day of the workshop.

Upcoming Dates and Projects!

September 12, 2026 – Haunted House
Spooky season starts here! Mini builders will construct a Haunted House complete with charmingly eerie details. Perfect for Halloween decorating, this project lets kids unleash their imagination while learning how to bring spooky scenes to life.

October 10, 2026 – Firefighting Plane
Soar into hero mode with the Firefighting Plane workshop, sponsored by First Alert! Kids will build and decorate a rescue plane ready to take on imaginary missions. This project inspires bravery, creativity, and hands-on learning through high-flying fun.

November 14, 2026 – Holiday Engine
All aboard the Holiday Express! Mini builders will create their own Holiday Engine train, complete with festive flair. It’s the perfect seasonal project to celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and holiday joy.

December 12, 2026 – Holiday Trolley Car
Ding ding! This holiday Trolley Car workshop takes imagination for a ride. Builders will assemble and decorate a classic holiday trolley, learning how pieces fit together while celebrating the magic of motion and design.

January 16, 2027 – Winter Play Lodge
Cozy up for the season with a Winter Lodge build! Kids will craft and decorate a snowy cabin scene, complete with icy accents and winter charm. It’s a heartwarming way to kick off the new year with creativity and craftsmanship.

What’s New with MyLowe’s Rewards Lowe’s Kids Club?

MyLowe’s Rewards Kids Club is a FREE suite of benefits included with your MyLowe’s Rewards membership. It’s designed to make every store visit more fun for families, giving kids hands-on activities, special surprises and reasons to get excited about coming to Lowe’s. The intent is to create moments that families can enjoy together, such as parents building with their kids at our monthly workshops, coming in to get a free exclusive giveaway that everyone can enjoy or simply making their trip to Lowe’s a bit easier by offering our Kids Club members a free organic lollipop every time they visit.

Although it’s free to join MyLowe’s Rewards Kids Club and enjoy the core benefits, there may be select events or workshops that are offered exclusively for MyLowe’s Rewards Kids Club members and require a small fee to participate.

What free perks are a part of MyLowe’s Rewards Kids Club?

  • Monthly in-store Kids Workshops
  • Organic lollipops during your in-store visit (While supplies last.)
  • Kid-themed giveaways (Limited quantities. While supplies last.)
  • Seasonal, in-store activities, such as scavenger hunts

Kids can collect both physical and digital badges for attending workshops and events. As they build their collection, they’ll work toward earning free rewards, such as a tool bag, as part of our Builder Recognition program.

In 2026, we’ll continue awarding Builder Recognition prizes based on physical-badge collection. Starting in 2027, new prizes will be announced and, don’t worry, all of your digital badges collected in 2026 will count toward our newer, bigger prizes for your little ones. Stay tuned for more news, and in the meantime, collect those digital badges.

Parents or guardians that are enrolled in MyLowe’s Rewards can create a Kids Profile for any child under the age of 18.

Parents can create a Kids Profile two ways:

1. Access your MyLowe’s Rewards Account dashboard, under Kids Profiles.

– Visit My Account
– Select My Settings
– Select Personal Information
– Select Kids Profiles

2. Go to Lowes.com/KidsClub.

– Select an upcoming Kids Workshop to register for.
– During the registration process, it’ll prompt you to create a Kids Profile in order to register.

Once your Kids Profile is created, your child is ready to start enjoying perks immediately, such as registering for an upcoming free workshop.
