Camp Seawood / Girl Scouts (K – 12th Grade)

Camp Seawood welcomes Girl Scouts who have completed Kindergarten through grade 8 with one-week programs. Campers who have completed 5th grade and up can participate in two-week programs. Campers can be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up by 5:00 p.m. or ride the bus from a location close to them. Families can join in the fun at camp on Wednesday nights. Be sure to look for new troop and family experiences this summer.

Camp Seawood specialty programs will enhance your camper’s summer experience. Expand upon their creativity skills as they create art while adventuring through all camp has to offer. Practice their target sport skills with slingshots, archery and airsoft rifles.

Located minutes from the New Hampshire seacoast and downtown Portsmouth, covers 38 acres of diverse natural habitat including tall pine trees, wetlands, and wildlife. Our camp boasts a low-ropes course, nature trails for hiking, a program center, an archery range, fire-circles, cabins and more.

Program Aide
Program Aides are role models for younger Girl Scouts. Deepen your understanding of what leadership and responsibility mean, in addition to enjoying all the fun at camp including late-night activities. Your Program Aide training will be completed during camp.

CIT 1
You will spend two weeks brushing up on your camping skills and gaining valuable experience working with girls. This training is the first year of a two-year training program developed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to become a successful camp staff member.

Camp Seawood Special Summer Events

Family Camping—Forest Friends
Saturday, July 13, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Families come spend the day at camp. Nature can teach us to be respectful, thoughtful, and to be a better friend. Understand the basics of Leave No Trace and make a nature guide and observe different sights and sounds in the forest including all the animals that live there. Make lunch and dessert over the campfire. $30 per person

Troop Camping—Camp Chaos
Saturday, July 27-Sunday, July 28

Bring your troop to camp for a weekend of camping and make new friends! Troops will live in their Adirondack and make their own meals
over the campfire, while spending the day enjoying camp staff led activities. All troops will come together to play an all-camp game of chaos! $25 per person

Financial Assistance (Campership)
Campership is available for up to one-half the cost of one summer camp program for qualifying girls who are Girl Scout members and live within our GSGWM council area. To apply for campership, register online for the program your camper would like to attend. If you are not a Girl Scout, you will need to purchase Girl Scout membership; see registration section above. Under merchandise, you will see apply for financial aid as an option. Select that, then proceed to check out and pay the deposit with a credit card. Once your registration has been submitted, you will receive an email with a link to the campership application form. Please fill this out promptly for our review.

Our financial assistance program facilitates the goal that every camper should have the opportunity to participate in and benefit from programs such as camp, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
