Summer Youth Theater Camps at RPAC! Ages 5-17

The Rochester Performance & Arts Center (RPAC) is located in the heart of downtown Rochester, New Hampshire. Theatre Camps are open to any student ages 5-17 interested in performing arts–regardless of experience! Our programs host lessons in acting, music, and dance, taught by professional artists. Cast sizes are kept small to ensure one-on-one focus. ​


RPAC 2023 Summer Camps

Future Stars
Ages 5-6 | $140
Session 1: July 10 – 14
Session 2: July 24 – 28
Session 3: August 7 – 11
Welcome to the next generation of aspiring performers! This half-day camp will provide a one-week exploration of imagination and physicality. Our Future Stars session will learn about the talents they have in their Actor’s Toolbox – how to use our bodies to express emotions, strengthen our imaginations and concentrations with storytelling, and prepare our voices for speaking in front of others and singing solo and in an ensemble! Each session will finish with a Showcase Performance of their learnings. This camp runs from 9am to 12:30pm.

Broadway Bound Kids
Ages 7-12 | $375
July 17 – 28
​Broadway Bound performers will be rounding out their growing theater skills this summer: we will learn acting techniques, dance and character movement, creative writing, and improvisation. our two-week program helps campers discover their talents, passions, and how to thrive in a performance setting. Creativity and self-expression is encouraged as we build our nautical themed world! This camp will celebrate two weeks of hard work with a culminating Showcase performance. ​This camp runs from 9am to 4pm.

All Age Center Stage
Ages 9-14 | $375
July 31 – August 11
​​Our All Age Center Stage session pairs Broadway Bound and Triple Threat performers in rehearsals and theater production experience. Professional artists will work with our cast to celebrate and highlight the talent of our younger and youngest performers. During our two-week camp, our cast will participate in age-specific classes in acting, singing, and dance, culminating in a final Showcase performance! ​This camp runs from 9am to 4pm.

Triple Threat Teens
Ages 12-17 | $375
July 3-14
​Teens receive a comprehensive theater experience during this two-week camp. With training from our “triple threat” instructors, campers will focus their performance skills through monologues and scenes, dance, vocal work, and specialty workshops (e.g. stage combat). Where our younger campers rely on their counselors to polish their scripts, our senior session will hone creative writing skills by developing their own work, and will feature highlights of their audition packages in the Showcase performance. ​This camp runs from 9am to 4pm.

The Rochester Performance & Arts Center (RPAC) is located in the heart of downtown Rochester, New Hampshire. Opened in 2017, and just around the block from the historic Rochester Opera House, RPAC is an intimate venue offering affordable entertainment, educational programming, and event spaces for private parties and community gatherings. RPAC combines a versatile recital hall with 150 seats, rehearsal and practice studios, costume and scenic workshops, and a premier art gallery for emerging and seasoned artists alike.
