Pine Street Players Summer Theatre Camps. Rising 1st Graders and Up

Summer Session workshops are ideal for performers interested in a fast-paced, supportive, and creative environment lead by experienced theatre professionals and educators. Building the skills and confidence necessary for success in mainstage productions, our leveled curriculum offers training appropriate to a performer’s age and ability. In addition to rehearsing a musical to be present at the culmination of their session, performers will take classes to improve their skills, leaving with increased knowledge of acting, singing, and dancing; a better understanding of the audition and rehearsal process; and the confidence that comes from socializing and creating with like-minded friends.

Imprisoned in the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Malificent, Jafar, the Evil Queen, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island … until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes such as Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and the Fairy Godmother, they have a difficult choice to make: Should they stay rotten to the core, or learn to be good? An homage to the idealism of the 1950s, as well as a satire on the timeless teenage need to rebel, GREASE tells the story of the too-cool-for-school Burger Palace Boys and their gum-snapping cohorts, The Pink Ladies. When a romance sparks between greaser Danny Zuko and the goody-two-shoes new girl Sandy Dumbrowski, peer pressure makes their relationship a lot more complicated than expected. Will their wholesome love survive a school year amongst the rambunctious characters of Rydell High? SHOWCASE: FRIDAY, AUGUST 16 AT 3:00 PM
