Vacation Days at Seacoast Science Center

Plan a visit to Seacoast Science Center and Odiorne Point State Park during your April school vacation for an adventure along the NH coast. The Center will be open daily from 10am to 4pm, offering several daily visitor programs, including animal feedings at 1pm most days (time subject to change) and sensory-friendly hours on Sundays, 9-10am.

Key highlights during the final two weeks of April include:
🦀 Tide pooling nature programs on April 21st and 28th.
🌎 Earth Day beach cleanup with @blueoceansociety on April 22nd. Plus, those with students in grades K-12 can come aboard for the 7th Annual Recycle Regatta. Students will design, build and test their boats made out of recycled materials with our partners from @miniboats, @nescienceandsailing & @namepa1.
🐦 Birding nature program on National Go Birding Day, April 25th.
🦈 @a_whiteshark‘s Gills Club meeting at SSC on April 25th… the final meeting of this season will focus on catsharks!
📖 Storytime and book signing with @nancykc148, author of Polly’s Sparkling Water Friend, on Sunday, April 26th at 11am and 2pm.
🌊 Learn about sea level rise with @nhseagrant Fellows, who will also share the Picture the Rising Tide exhibit from @nhcoastaladaptation (CAW) on April 30th.
📚 Our inaugural Science & Stories program with Rye Historian Alex Herlihy on April 30th (best for ages 18+).
🏃♂ 17th Annual Rescue Run on May 2nd to benefit our Marine Mammal Rescue team. The event includes a 5K trail race, kids fun runs, beach cleanup, and fun local raffles. Presented by @meredithvillagesavingsbank 🦭
