Celebrate spring and America’s 250th anniversary during Springfest at Strawbery Banke. Discover the stories that shaped the nation through New England’s agricultural traditions, from sheep shearing and oxen at work to honey extraction and hands-on gardening activities. Meet rare heritage breeds, explore heirloom gardens, and shop the historic plant sale.

All Springfest activities are included with admission, along with access to tour the Museum’s historic houses, gardens, and landscapes.

New For 2026!
Theme: This year’s Springfest theme, “Red, White, and Bloom!” celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with flowers, gardens, and heritage traditions across the Museum grounds.
Portsmouth Orange Cake Bake-Off: Celebrate a slice of local history on Sunday at Springfest, where local bakeries present their own takes on the classic 19th-century New Hampshire orange cake in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Double the fun: Tickets are valid for both days of the event.
