Self Directed Play, Fostering Confidence, Resilience & Joy in your Child (and better Parenting Skills for in you)?

April 24 @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Free

Have you ever wondered why Waldorf education places so much importance on self directed play? Is it just to have fun? Has your child ever engaged in risky or rough play that left you wondering about your role in play? Would you like to foster a strong and cooperative relationship with your child, while giving them space for building resilience, confidence, and joy?

Children have a tremendous urge to let their imaginations soar. They also crave physical and emotional challenges. How can we nurture deeply creative play, free from interference, while maintaining secure boundaries? How can we be a worthy role model for imitative play, indoors and out?

Please join Helle Heckmann and the SWS Early Childhood Faculty in a lively conversation about play on Wednesday April 24 at 6:30 pm in the Great Hall.
