Join us for the 6th annual Superhero 5K & Kids’ Fun Run for Rett’s Roost, a beacon of healing for families impacted by childhood cancer, offering holistic retreats that create connection, nurture hope, and honor the power of grief and love. This is the first year we’ll be holding the race in Ogunquit, the home of our Heart-quarters, and we are beyond excited that they have included us in the list of events during their hugely popular Ogunquitfest weekend. A virtual option is also available for those who don’t live locally.

On October 22nd, 2022, we will gather at Main Beach (parking free for runners), between 11am-12pm in our finest, most intimidating and ambitious costumes. There will be superheroes and activities to interact with the kids. At 12, we’ll kick off our Kids’ Fun Run on the beach. There will be 3 heats: 3&4, 5&6, 7&8. The older they get, the farther they run. Every kid gets a ribbon and official race bib. The 5K will line up next, and will take off about 12:30 from the big ramp near Splash restaurant. Runners will head up Beach St, turn right on River Rd, left on Hoyts Ln, right on Rte 1, up to Beachfire Restaurant. From there, racers will turn down Ocean Ave towards Footbridge Beach. Over the footbridge and straightaway down the beach back to where we started!

After the race, we will gather at the Leavitt Theater at 1:30 for awards, magic, and the debut of our Taphouse Media Production Rett’s Roost video!
