Event Series Event Series: Portsmouth Farmers’ Market

Portsmouth Farmers’ Market

June 22 @ 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The Portsmouth Farmers’ Market takes place in the City Hall parking lot overlooking the South Mill Pond. Up on a hill and close the the ocean this market usually has a consistent and comfortable breeze, even on the hottest summer days. Wake up and stroll or bike to the market as a part of your weekend routine or stop by if you’re visiting the area. There is also a great playground for kids right across the street! This is the largest of our four summer markets and has an expansive variety of farms, prepared foods, and craft vendors. Many thanks to the City Manager’s Office, Health Department, Legal Department, and Police Department for the support to make this market successful.

When & Where: The market runs every Saturday from May 4 to October 26 at City Hall, 1 Junkins Ave in Portsmouth. Hours are 8am-12pm. Listen for the bell that opens and closes each market!

Restrooms are not available at the market but there are port-a-potties across the street at the South Mill Pond Playground

Animals: are not permitted but service animals may enter the market any time.

Sit & Eat: There is a lovely shaded area with picnic tables across the street and the South Mill Pond Playground.

Parking: Customers can park in the City Hall Lower Lot as marked by a sign at the entrance of the lot. This parking lot is next to the vehicle entrance to City Hall. Handicap parking is available immediately next to the City Hall building. Customers may also park across the street at the South Mill Pond Playground
