Don’t forget, if you’re bringing little ones with you, hit up your local drug store and purchase child ear plugs. Those loud aftershocks can be startling and frightening to toddlers, pets, and young children (or even some adults I know….and you know who you are).

City of Portsmouth’s annual Independence Day Fireworks Display on Thursday, July 3 at 9:15pm at Leary Field.
DJ music and games on Learn Field from 7:00-9:00pm. Street closure and parking ban information to be released closer to the event.
Please note: This is a very busy event. Arrive early and leave extra time for parking and getting around the City.

The Towns of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport co-host a fireworks show visible from all three beaches in Kennebunk. If there is extreme inclement weather, the fireworks are rescheduled to July 5th.

York, ME

Location: Short Sands Beach

Old York’s 125 Anniversary
Did you know that Old York opened as the Old Gaol Museum on July 4, 1900? Please join us this July 4th to celebrate Old York’s 125th anniversary. Our historic buildings are open and free to all.

Come see our popular exhibition, The Best of York: Treasures from the Collection, featuring the renowned Bulman Bed Hangings. The Old Gaol will be open, along with Jefferds Tavern and the York Corner School House.

And don’t miss a special FREE walking tour at 1:00 pm, Answering the Call: York’s Wartime Service. Tickets for the tour will be available at the Museum Center, however, we encourage you to reserve tickets online as space is limited.

Dover, NH
Start Time: 9:15pm
Location: Garrison Hill Park
The City of Dover will launch its annual fireworks display from Garrison Hill on Saturday, July 5, at dusk, around 9:15 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, July 6. The best fireworks viewing will be places with a direct line of sight to Garrison Hill and Garrison Hill Tower. Some areas, such as Henry Law Park, have blocked sightlines. Before the fireworks, the 39th Army Band will play at Henry Law Park at the Rotary Arts Pavilion from 6 to 8 p.m.

This year’s celebration will take place on Friday, July 4th, 2025. The parade steps off at 9:15 am from the ARGO parking lot and travels down Epping Street to the Town Common. A brief ceremony and celebration will immediately follow, concluding at 12:00 pm.

Salisbury Beach, MA – Pet Parade
Start Time: 6:00 – 7:00pm
Location: Salisbury Beach
Our Annual Fourth of July Pet Parade is back! Dress your pet in a fun costume, beach attire, or patriotic gear for a stroll around the Broadway Loop. There will be fun prizes in different categories, treats, and many photo opportunities. We hope to see you and your furry friends there. Stay after the parade for live music from Billy D & The Rock-Its on the Salisbury Oceanfront Stage at 7:30PM!

Join the BRC for Fireworks, BBQ, and Baseball at the Fisher Cats on Thursday, July 3rd 2025.
