Disney’s FROZEN, The Broadway Musical at Marshwood Theatre

$10 – $15The enchanting modern classic comes to life as Marshwood Theatre Presents the Maine State High School Premiere of Disney’s FROZEN, The Broadway Musical March 31, April 1, April 7, and April 8!
Princess Elsa of Arendelle possesses magical powers allowing her to control ice and snow, often using them to play with her younger sister Anna. After Elsa accidentally injures Anna with her magic, she returns to the castle and stays reclusively in her room in fear of hurting Anna with her increasing power. When Elsa leaves the castle and accidentally traps their kingdom in perpetual winter, fearless Anna joins forces with mountaineer Kristoff and his reindeer sidekick to find her in a race to save their kingdom from winter’s cold grip. Marshwood High School Theatre is thrilled to offer this production after winning the “Love is an Open Door” contest for the state of Maine. In June 2022, the partnership of the Educational Theatre Association, Music Theatre International, and Disney Theatrical Group opened applications for high schools to enter a contest that led to only one high school from each state/territory in the US to debut the production of Disney’s FROZEN The Broadway Musical in January 2023-January 2024.
Bianca Pietro (MHS Musical Director) sent in an application that included her vision for the show; her ideas of how to continue to keep the school and community involved; and her mission of how to overcome obstacles, welcome people who are different, and shape lives through theatre education. “I am so excited about the opportunity to bring this production to the high school and community!” Pietro said. Another way she is getting the local community involved is offering a fundraiser that has the outcome of coming ON STAGE at a performance!

Featuring well-known songs such as “In Summer” and “For the First Time in Forever,” this show will come to life with amazing puppets and beautiful costumes thanks to Maine State Music Theatre! With the heartwarming story, catchy soundtrack, and talented cast of characters- you do not want to miss seeing this PREMIERE production! Performances for Frozen, The Broadway Musical will be Friday, March 31st at 7 pm, Saturday, April 1st at 2 pm and 7 pm, Friday, April 7th at 7 pm, and Saturday, April 8th at 2 pm and 7 pm at the Wesley E. Kennedy Performing Arts Center at Marshwood High School. Tickets are available for $10 for students/seniors and $15 for adults and can be purchased by going to the link or QR code below.
