Who: Calling all Volunteers! We need manpower!

What: Community Road Clean Up Day! We’re providing special garbage bags for trash and Clynk recycling. You just need to bring your gloves, trash pickers & stickers and come join us to do a clean up of Route 236 & 91. Prefer to pick up elsewhere? That works, too! You’ll just need to bring your bag to the designated dumpster.

Clean up is 8am -11am, followed by complimentary family activities and snacks from 10am -1pm

When: Saturday, April 22nd (Earth Day!)

Where: Kickoff at Punkintown Place across from Marshwood High School

Details: Join us after the clean up event for a free community appreciation event at Punkintown Plaza. The Kids Zone will be open from 10 am – 1 pm. Activities include a bounce house, playground, kids crafts, hair tinsel, and more! We’ll have light refreshments, too.

Jayco Disposal has generously donated a huge dump truck again to dispose of trash! Nick and his crew will be patrolling Route 236 and 91, collecting our special bags.

If you’d like to pick up in your own neighborhood, that’s great too! We have special colored trash bags that can be brought to the dump trailer for disposal.

In 2022, we collected 700 lbs of garbage, and 775 returnable bottles and cans, raising $40 for the local Lions Club. To date, our Earth Day efforts have collected 1,450 lbs of garbage, and we hope to break the 2,000lb mark this year! Will you join us?
