National Night Out – Amesbury

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.
This is year 27 of NNO in Amesbury, and it has grown to bring plenty of entertainment for all ages. APD will be hosting a block party, and car show with live music, food trucks and several local breweries serving up drinks. There will be inflatable slides, obstacle course and some special guests there to meet the kids of Amesbury! Most importantly we have teamed up with lots of community partners who will have tables with games and free giveaways.
This year Amesbury High School All Boosters and Amesbury PTO will be there with some great Amesbury gear for sale!
KBK Sports of Nashua, Nh will be on site holding a silent auction for some awesome New England Sports Memorabilia! 75% of the profits raised in the silent auction will go to our Community Partner The Pettengill House to help fund Substance Addiction / Mental Health Initiatives.
