Two fall festivals in one, with the same low price…FREE! This festival includes a variety of activities, live bands and a mix of approximately 200 vendors: including Food Vendors, Juried Crafters, Marketplace Vendors, Go Green Expo Exhibitors and local Non-Profit Organizations. Kidsfest will include kids games, crafts, special entertainment and more!

This year, Kidsfest will take place all in one location. Just inside the York’s Wild Animal Kingdom entrance, expect to see, corn toss, face-painting, pumpkin decorating, train rides on the Roaming Railroad, pumpkin carving and a pumpkin stroll. Story telling by Dan Blakeslee as Dr. Gasp, Shows at 10:30 and 12:30.
New this year: Mad Science of Maine hands on energy booth at 11:30 and 1:30. Fire and Ice Show under the big tent in the ball field at 3:00.
Free Horse Drawn Wagon Rides
Two handsome Belgian horses from Meadow Creek Farm in Sumner, Maine, will delight young and old with this fun family activity. Rides will be offered for free during Harvestfest on Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Meet Butch and Becky Durgin, owners of the Belgians, and then hop on board their 18-passenger covered wagon for a leisurely stroll through the streets of Short Sands Beach.
The pick-up area will be located near the entry gate for the York Beach Ballpark on Bay Street. The wagon rides are proudly sponsored by York Hospital.
Train Rides will be available on the Roaming Railroad for $3 a ride. This year, the Roaming Railroad will run just inside the York’s Wild Animal Kingdom entrance.
Pumpkin Carving & Pumpkin Stroll
This year, pumpkin carving and a pumpkin stroll will take place inside the entrance to York’s Wild Kingdom (YWK). Pumpkin carving begins at 9am. There is an entry fee depending on age and there will be prizes awarded. This event is proudly sponsored by People’s United Bank.
Amie Romano will be on hand to do face painting and balloon twisting!
Paint for Fun
Paint for Fun will be in the perimeter of the ballfield with their ceramic items and forever pumpkins for kids to paint.

John Haber, Occupational Therapist, and founder of Nogginsland will be providing free activities and games using Noggins, an educational product for younger children that help to develop fine and visual motor skills.
