Ready for some adult fun? Date Night ideas activities on the Seacoast!

When’s the last time you and your other half went out and had *fun*? I’m not talking Pitch Perfect 3 and a bucket of popcorn kind of fun (that actually is fun). I’m talking out-of-the-norm, this-could-be-awful-or-it could-be-fantastic kind of fun.

If you’re looking to step out one of these nights, check out a few of these ideas for date night!

Grown-Up Play Dates, Children’s Museum of NH
Thursday, February 15; 7:00pm-9:00pm (Held monthly)
If you’ve ever sat in the Yellow Submarine at the Children’s Museum and thought, “This would be great with a cold beer!”, now you can! CMNH is now hosting monthly adult-only themed play dates at the museum. Partnering with 7th Settlement to provide a cash bar with beer, wine and signature cocktail, you can now play with the giant pin screen and brain wave machine without having to fight off a gaggle of other people’s kids for your turn. In addition, each month has a new event theme with special activities planned throughout the evening.

Upcoming themes for Thurs. 2/15 is “Messy Mayhem—Paint Night” and on Thurs. 3/15 is “Sci-Fi Science Night.” Big kids only (21+) and you must have a valid ID. Tickets are $10 online until noon the day before the event, $12 at the door. Visit childrens-museum.org for more info.

REWIND: Heartbreak Beat, 3S Artspace
Saturday February 10; 9:00pm-12:00am
How fun is it when you hear Man in the Mirror on the radio and the kids tell you that they’ve never heard of Michael Jackson? Forget those kids, they don’t know music! Time travel back to your teenage years at 3S’s RE◀◀WIND Dance Party where creator and musical curator DJ James 808 returns to bring you the best in classic tracks and remixes from the 80’s/90’s/early 00’s. The best part is that retro attire is encouraged so bust out that single, white Michael Jackson glove (just me?) or your acid washed jeans and get ready to get down. These events always sell out so purchase your tickets early.

The next RE◀◀WIND Dance Party is scheduled Saturday, February 10, 9:00pm -12:00am at the 3S Artspace in Portsmouth. Tickets: $10/$8 for 3S Members. 21+ only. For a full schedule of events, visit 3sarts.org for more info.

Pub Quiz Geeks Who Drink, Stone Church
Every Wednesday; 7:00pm-9:30pm
Remember what it was like to be cool and hang out in cool places? Me neither, but it’s not too late. Grab your flannel and head to Newmarket for the Stone Church’s weekly trivia pub game. Play alone or as a team, chances to win “great prizes.” Full food and bar menu available. Free to play. Runs every Wednesday night from 7:00pm-9:30pm.

Parents’ Night Out, Exeter Area YMCA
Friday, February 16; 6:30pm-9:00pm (Held monthly)
Want to try out a new restaurant but short on babysitters? Once a month, the Exeter Area YMCA invites your kids for 2+ hours of fun that includes a combination of gym games, arts and crafts and a community-driven STEAM activity. This month, children create knot blankets to give back to our local community; evening activities follow a “Charlie Brown” theme. Includes dinner for the kids! Ages 3-11, $15/member; $18/community member—can’t get a sitter for those prices! Parents, you can head downtown and check out Otis, Blue Moon Evolution or Station 19. Visit sdymca.org for more info.
