NEW! After-school foreign language classes for kids 3+ now offered on the seacoast!
If you’re interested in foreign language classes for your kids (students can start at 3 years old) and your school doesn’t offer that option, you have to check out One World Language School (OWLS)!
How did One World Language School start?
Founded in 2003 by Brigitte Herz of Durham, NH and Julie Reece of Lee, NH, One World Language School (OWLS) was designed to make learning accessible at a young age–regardless of financial standing–and prepare young minds to use their language skills while traveling within a foreign country. Now, the OWLS curriculum is being used schools like Berwick Academy and St. Patrick School as their primary language program.
How does the curriculum work?
OWLS offers courses in Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin using a proprietary game-based language curriculum of games, skits, crafts, and cultural interactions designed to make learning fun for children.
Where can my child take an OWLS class?
OWLS classes run every week day in nine schools on the seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine including Portsmouth, South Berwick, Newmarket, Durham, Eliot, Madbury, Brentwood and Stratham.
Absolutely. One World Language School is a 501(c)(3) organization. One World Language School financial aid awards are based solely on financial need.
