Finally! An Affordable Accessory Store For Fashionable Moms. Lookin’ Good, Ladies.
What’s a girl to do when everything in her closet mumbles an unenthusiastic “ho-hum”? Accessorize! It’s the least expensive and most effective trick-of-the-trade to make an old wardrobe new again.
Personally, I don’t like to spend a lot on accessories because 1) I get bored quickly, and 2) the trends advance faster than my wallet can keep up. And, short of going to Claire’s in the mall and wrestling a pendant necklace away from a 14 year old girl, there aren’t many affordable shops in the area where I can buy mature, yet stylish accessories. So needless to say, I was thrilled to stumble upon a new boutique in Rye called Madiza & Co. (in the same plaza as SoHo, Bella Intimates and Gymboree) where “fashion meets affordability”.
When I tell you that Madiza & Co. carries all kinds of fashion accessories, I mean the whole kit and caboodle. It’s like walking into your own accessory closet! They have quality scarves ($8-$40), bracelets (starts at $12), earrings ($10-$30) and necklaces ($10-$120). They also have great bags, clutches, wristlets and hats, too. The best part? Madiza only purchases a two or three items of each piece so you can avoid the awkward and annoying, “OMG, I have the same purse!” convo.
If you have something specific in mind, you’re also in luck. Madiza is constantly hitting the streets of NYC to stay up on the latest trends and will locate options for any accessory on your wishlist. Looking for a particular color scarf? How about an affordable version of a designer necklace? They’ll hunt it down for you. It’s like having your own personal shopper. I could get used to this.
