Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps! Ages 7-15

Windridge has welcomed campers to Vermont since 1968. We’re a family-owned sports camp with a traditional feel, and the kind of place where kids spend the day outside and off all screens, hone their skills in the sport of their choice, and come home with more independence and confidence than they left with.

What sets us apart is our staff. Our instructors play their respective sports at the collegiate level, so campers learn from people who competed seriously and know how to pass on their knowledge in a structured environment with real lesson plans, clear goals, and private lessons available.

Our facilities let us cater to every level: 21 clay tennis courts (13 of them red clay), two regulation-sized soccer fields, four riding rings, one indoor, with cross-country trails and jumps, and a nine-hole golf course just down the road under the same family ownership, plus a nearby driving range.

We keep enrollment at 150 campers per session by choice, because our directors want to know every camper by name. Camp should feel like a famil, and since we’re family-owned, that’s not just a slogan for us.

The idea behind all of it is simple: kids engaged in something they love don’t just improve, they thrive. Summer should be a break from the routine, a stretch of time built around movement, friends, and the freedom to just be a kid. Each night, campers and staff take part in a camp-wide evening activity, ranging from MTV Night talent shows and skits to elaborate games of tag and pure, memory-making ridiculousness. Windridge campers learn to set goals, win with humility, lose with grace, and trust those around them. Those lessons outlast the summer and extend far beyond Windridge.

Skills for life, friends forever.

2026 Summer Camps

Campers choose one or two majors (tennis, soccer, horseback riding, or golf) and fill out the rest of the day with electives.

Tennis — Campers of every level, from first-timers to competitive juniors, are grouped by ability and coached by staff that includes many current collegiate players. Beyond daily instruction in fundamentals, strategy, and match play, the program offers tennis electives, private lesson packages, and tournaments designed to build real skills and a lasting love of the game.

Golf — Open to sixteen campers who travel five minutes down the road to the Northfield Country Club for three periods of instruction and supervised play, split into morning and afternoon groups of eight. Golf majors need at least a year of experience and a grasp of the fundamentals (campers ten and under, or beginners, can start through a golf elective instead, with beginners training on the practice fields at the Teela-Wooket campus).

Soccer — Builds both technical and tactical skills, with small groups working on dribbling, passing, shooting, trapping, and heading before putting it all to use in scrimmages, game days against other camps and local clubs, and an end-of-session intra-camp tournament. Campers train across Teela-Wooket’s two regulation-size fields, a large multi-purpose practice field, and a kickboard, with the indoor “Soccer Mansion” available for equipment, strategy sessions, and rainy-day video analysis.

Riding — Campers enjoy show jumping, dressage, eventing, hunter trials, cross-country, pony club games, and trail riding through the Vermont mountains on horses carefully matched to their needs, with a focus on fun, safety, and individualized skill development. Additionally, the on-campus barn allows riders to participate in daily horse care.

Electives
Beyond their main sport, campers fill out the day with a wide range of electives: pickleball, archery, mountain biking on a new flow and jump track, improvisation, dance, arts and crafts, lacrosse, tennis, golf, stable management, rec games, basketball, volleyball, swimming, field games, and more.

It’s a safe, supervised, and genuinely fun environment where kids get to make their own choices, find their people, and grow in ways that might just surprise them — and you. From MTV Night to Carnival to the legendary Teela Games, there’s no shortage of memories being made along the way.
