Get Inspired this Summer!

For more than a decade, UNH Tech Camp has been inspiring middle and high school students through its dynamic summer STEM programs that emphasize creative thinking, problem solving and having fun! Open to all levels of experience, an inquisitive mind and sense of adventure are all that are required. During Tech Camp, a wide range of STEM subject areas are explored — from computer coding and robotics to environmental science and rocketry — through a dynamic, hands-on, project-based learning format. This year’s camp will also feature special weeklong programs focused on regenerative medicine and biotechnology.

Programs run for one week, but students can sign up for multiple summer sessions throughout July 11 – 29th.

All Tech Camp programs are offered through the UNH College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, providing students with access to state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology and award-winning faculty. Since its beginning, Tech Camp has fostered a diverse and inclusive community, making STEM education available to all curious learners. Need-based scholarship funding is available for all programs that require tuition.

Day and residential options are available on the UNH Durham Campus.

UNH Tech Camp Summer 2022

TechSplorers (grades 5-8)
A program for students entering grades 5-8 that explores a wide range of STEM subject areas through day-long, hands-on activities. Subject areas may include forensic science, computer coding, robotics, environmental science, structural engineering and more. Each day is a new adventure! Tuition is $600 per week for day students, $1,150 per week for residential students. Need-based scholarships available.

TechVenturers (grades 8-10)
A program for students entering grades 8-10. Participants focus on a single, in-depth, weeklong project of their own choosing related to various areas of science, engineering and technology. Participants will engage in the engineering design process, problem solving exercises and a camp-wide poster presentation session at the end of the week. Tuition is $600 per week for day students, $1,150 per week for residential students. Need-based scholarships available.

TechLeaders (grades 10-12)
A program for students entering grades 10-12. Much like the TechVenturers program, participants focus on a single, in-depth, weeklong project of their own choosing related to various areas of science, engineering and technology, as well as leadership and entrepreneurship activities for those considering a STEM-related career. Tuition is $600 per week for day students, $1,150 per week for residential students. Need-based scholarships available.

Dinah Whipple STEAM Academy (grades 7-10 & 10-12)
An immersive educational program that explores science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM), as well as the Black experience. There are two separate programs, one for students entering grades 7-10, another for students entering grades 10-12. Both programs are offered at no cost to participants.

Special Programs on Regenerative Medicine and Biofabrication
This summer, Tech Camp is offering special programs focused on regenerative medicine and biofabrication as part of a broader grant-funded workforce development initiative. These programs focus on cutting-edge science related to regrowing lost body parts, freezing and storing cells and tissue, bioinformatics and biotech entrepreneurship. Topics you aren’t likely to find at any other summer STEM programs!
