About The Aplomb Project
A 501(c)3 organization that uses the transformative power of art to uplift trauma survivors, promote creative healing, and present inclusive artistic opportunities. With support from donors and sponsors we:
- Gift inspiring oil portraits of resilience to trauma survivors
- Distribute art kits including expressive sketchbooks to survivors and organizations who work with them
- Host inclusive public art exhibitions and events that highlight and celebrate the strength of survivors
- Foster an interactive community platform for survivors and allies
- Hold healing workshops including creative arts, art history chats, poetry readings and writing activities
- Publish a biannual Portrait Project book featuring inspirational paintings, stories, and poems
- Award art scholarships to survivors, so they may benefit from the healing powers of artistic expression without financial barriers
