Open for the Season! Outdoor Labrie Family Skating Rink at Puddle Dock Pond – Strawbery Banke!
The Labrie Family Skating Rink has opened for the 2023/2024 season! This is an outdoor, seasonal ice skating rink on the grounds of Strawbery Banke Museum.
Labrie Family Skate offers public skating, pond hockey for children and adults, and skating lessons for all ages. Rental skates are available as well as a skate sharpening service. In the spirit of Portsmouth’s rich performing arts culture, Labrie Family Skate will host occasional artistic ice dancing and ice skating performances. Click here to learn more.

Rink Schedule
The Labrie Family Skate rink will opens in December and open daily through March 2024. Ice conditions change frequently. Please check for changes or closures to the weekly schedule on Facebook or call the rink at 603.422.0600.

Tickets
Ticket sales begin each week on Sundays at 5 PM when the weekly ice schedule is published. Tickets are available for purchase online or in person at the admissions desk in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center, 14 Hancock Street, Portsmouth on a first-come, first-served weekly basis. At this time, phone call reservations are not accepted.

Skating ticket books contain 10 public skating admission vouchers, which are valid during public skating admission sessions only. Passes must be redeemed in person at the admissions desk after ticket sales for the upcoming week begin each Sunday at 5 PM. Passbook vouchers do not guarantee admission and must be redeemed for a timed skating session ticket. Members & Nonmembers: $120
Pond hockey occurs in sessions marked on the weekly schedule. Limited to 20 tickets, in a 5 versus 5 format.

More About Labrie Family Skate
Labrie Family Skate is a carefully designed ice skating rink with 12,500 square feet of professionally maintained ice surface surrounded by a post and rail fence. The design combines an 80’ x 125’ oval with a 60’ diameter circle abutting the oval. This will be all one sheet of ice. The rink is located in the open lawn area between the Visitor Center and the Cooper Shop. The Figtree Kitchen Café will not be serving seasonal food and beverages this year. Plenty of free parking is available in the main lot on Hancock Street.
