Seacoast Science Center’s BioBlitz is virtual this year! September 26th – October 2nd.

Although we can’t come together to explore, identify and collect data in person this year, we are here to help guide you on a community science adventure with your family. Whether you choose to explore your own backyard, a school yard, a local nature trail or a state park, you can learn about the amazing plants and animals that live there and help collect important data to track biodiversity in your region.

Our week-long virtual BioBlitz kicks off on September 26th, with live social media feeds highlighting scientists’ and experts’ finds in Odiorne Point State Park that day. Our experts will be exploring on their own, maintaining social distancing and safety, so we can add to our impressive 17 year data set of OPSP!  Then, we will share videos of their work during the following week, September 28-October 2nd. The videos will highlight their best finds and provide pointers on how to search for species and collect data in the wild environment you choose to explore.

Follow us on Facebook, tune in at the times listed below (or any time thereafter), and get ready to embark on your own Bioblitz!
