Slightly Spooky Salem Tours for Kids and Families!

Salem Tours for Kids and Families!

I remember visiting Salem as a teenager and being intrigued with its history and stories. We have found a Salem tour designed just for children and families. There is a difference between a tour that allows children, and a tour that is FOR children. While other tours in Salem have kids’ tickets, they don’t pay special attention to kids. Salem Kids Tours are for kids. They make history come alive for younger learners.

Salem Tours for Kids is offering tours in October on weekends and Holiday Mondays.

Slightly Spooky Tour
This tour combines true tales from Salem’s past with some mild ghost stories just for kids. “Our aim is not to scare the heck out of your kids, but to provide a little shiver and bit of mystery for kids who like ghost stories”. This tour follows a route that is near the downtown, but it’s a little off the beaten path, very picturesque, and you’ll feel as if you stepped back in time. The tour ends at our historic and creepy Broad Street Cemetery, which was established in 1655. Meets at 316 Essex Street.

Please note: Tours are not recommended for children under the age of six.

  • One hour outdoor walking tour
  • Stories and tales that the kids love to hear. All tours are lead by teachers or graduate students and make the tour fun and captivating
  • Find out about Witch Trials, Salem Golden Age of Sail, Salem’s connection to the Revolution, and more!
  • Ages 5+
  • Reserve your tickets online.

Salem Kids History Tour (Not offered on October)
This tour tells true tales from our long history, including the infamous Witchcraft Trials. Find out about an amazing escape, a famous phone call, and a moving graveyard on this spin through Salem’s historic downtown. This is a great orientation tour to help you find your way around the vibrant and walkable heart of the city. Meets at 185 Essex Street.

For over ten years, parents traveling with kids have chosen Salem Kids Tours for a fun, well-researched and fascinating trip through time. Many times we have heard from kids, “I didn’t want the tour to end.” Parents have described our tours as the highlight of their trip to Salem. We are happy to show you around. We love kids, we understand their unique needs, and we look forward to meeting you on one of our tours.

Owner Alicia Diozzi is a local 6th grade social studies teacher with a background in drama. She saw a need for a Salem tour that was educational, accurate and fun just for kids and families. alicia@bostonkidstours.com
