Christina DeMaio Voice Studio offers private voice lessons for kids and teens (age 6+). Christina’s studio has been based in Exeter since 2016, but since the pandemic hit in March of 2020, Christina has taught nearly a thousand lessons and classes virtually!
Christina works with singers of all skill-levels and musical interests from total beginners to college-bound teens (and even avocational adult singers!). She delights in bringing even the shyest of young performers (as she once was!) out of their shell, celebrating both big and small steps toward discovering and embracing their own unique voice and creativity.
In addition to private instruction, Christina is a vocal coach at local Youth Theatre programs such as the Pine Street Players at Christ Church Exeter, and Portsmouth Academy of Performing Arts’ Teen Rep Company. She provides comprehensive audition prep and coaching for Musical Theatre singers.
In lessons with Christina, your singer will learn healthy and accessible vocal technique, develop their music literacy skills, and explore storytelling through the songs they love most. Christina creates individualized lesson plans and activities, committed to discovering how she can best support, encourage, and connect with each student. Throughout the past year, Christina has been thrilled to see her students continue to progress and grow their confidence through consistent and supportive singing time at home.
This Summer, Christina is offering the “Summer Special 5 Pack” – a reduced-rate package of 5 lessons (30 or 60 minutes) that can be scheduled flexibly from June 27th – August 28th. Lessons this Summer will remain virtual with the option of occasional outdoor lessons in Exeter! (In-person lessons will return this Fall).
