Outdoor Family programs in January/February at Joppa Flats!

If we can’t be inside together, we can certainly be outside in nature together! Check out these super fun (and educational) outdoor family programs at Joppa Flats!

Nature Walks for Tots

Date & Time: Saturdays 10:00am-11:30am
Location: Newburyport and vicinity
Audience: Family (suitable for children 3 – 6 years)
Members: Adult $12.00, Child $10.00
Nonmembers: Adult $16.00, Child $14.00

Winter has arrived and Miss Lisa wants to take you through the woods, on the trails, and along the shore to look for creatures, explore and play, and use our “science eyes” and “nature ears” for some family fun outdoors!

This is not a drop-off class; all children must be accompanied by at least one adult. All adults are expected to participate in the program.

Instructions and Directions:

The location will be within 20-30 minutes of Newburyport and will be chosen based on safety, the forecast, and access to restrooms. Prior to the program, you will receive an email with details on where to meet, parking and facilities information, driving directions, and other guidelines plus detailed Covid-19 safety protocols. All participants must wear a mask and complete a Covid-19 self-health assessment prior to the program. Dress for the weather and terrain.

Outdoor Adventures for Families

Members: Adult $14.00, Child $12.00

With winter’s arrival, it’s a great time to explore the season’s wonders with your family in the woods, on trails, and along the shore. “Miss Lisa” and her team will assist with the identification of creatures, provide small group challenges, and share our joy and knowledge about the natural world. Sign up for one or all of these educational outdoor excursions and see nature through the lens of a naturalist!
