Old fashioned summer fun at Newburyport’s Yankee Homecoming running July 30-August 7, 2022!

Now in it’s 66th year! Mark your calendar and plan to join the town of Newburyport for the region’s premier community festival!

Eight days of summer fun for adults and kids of all ages! Today these include longtime annual events that showcase road races, the much anticipated Olde Fashioned Sunday, Waterfront Concerts on the Merrimac River, Family Day, Market Square Entertainment, Artisan Fairs and so much more.

The eight day event wraps up with a spectacular Fireworks Display and Grand Parade past the historic houses of High Street. Events celebrating Newburyport’s history have grown to include explorations of the city’s Civil War history, church tours reflecting its connections to New England’s religious history, and guided walks of the old burying grounds as well as many tours of historic homes and buildings.

Highlight Event: Olde Fashioned Sunday! Sunday, July 31st

Olde Fashioned Sunday on July 31st will be a great day to remember the beginning of our Yankee Homecoming celebration. We can enjoy some “new” events to help make future memories for the current younger generations as the past has given some of us the “good ole’ days” to remember.

Learn how to use a faux bow with foam tips with the help of the NBPT Scout professionals! Interested in this activity? Check out their booth and enter in their raffle and you could win a Blast Pad or a Faux Bow (Lizardite) from Marky Sparky Toys.
