2021 Seacoast Memorial Day Parades & Ceremonies–find one near you!

Wishing seacoast families a meaningful Memorial Day! Many parades have been unfortunately, cancelled again this year but there are a few happening and several ceremonies being held on Monday May 31, 2021 to honor past and present American Veterans. Bring your family out to one of the many Memorial Day events listed below to remember and honor the heroes that have served to protect our freedom.

Monday May 31, 2021 – Memorial Day Ceremonies with Parades

Exeter, NH
Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

When: 10:00am
Parade route: Parade begins at Swasey Parkway, continues up Water Street, and along Front Street to Gale Park, with guest speakers and a flag ceremony.

Kingston, NH
Memorial Day Rolling Parade and Ceremony

When: 1:00pm
Parade route: the slow-moving vehicle-only parade will start at Kingston Town Hall and end on North Road just outside the fence at Greenwood cemetery, where a short ceremony will be held.

Memorial Day Parade
When: 8:30am

York, ME
Memorial Day Reverse Parade

When: 9:00am – 11:00am
Parade route: the public is invited to walk or drive through the town center to honor the fallen. Those with old-model or patriotically-decorated vehicles are encouraged to participate. Families or friends are encouraged to bring by older vets who are unable to drive or walk. At 10am, York Police Department members will complete 22 push-ups to bring awareness to veteran and law enforcement suicides and those suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

Location: small ceremony featuring local speakers at the Orchard Grove Cemetery.

When: 10:15am
Location: World War I Memorial on Plains Field, at the corner of Islington Ave. and Middle Road

When: 2pm event is being moved indoors due to weather. The ceremony will take place in the American Legion Hall (second floor), 96 Islington St.

Somersworth, NH

When: 8:40am – 11:15am

When: 11:30am
Location: a wreath laying at the Vietnam Memorial in front of the South Berwick Town Hall at 11:15 a.m. A ceremony at the All Wars Memorial will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Rye, NH
Ceremonies will be completely virtual. A pre-recorded video will be posted on the town’s website on Monday.
