Kid’s Power of Produce Club at Kittery Community Markets. Opening Day on Sunday June 6th!

The Kittery Community Market Summer 2021 season is getting ready to start. Located in the parking lot of Post Office Square in Kittery markets will be opened each Sunday starting on June 6th – November 7th. Their focus is on providing a friendly environment that connects our local agriculture, small businesses, and artisans with the community.

The Kittery Community Market is excited to announce a new program we will be running throughout the Summer 2021 market season called the Power of Produce Club, in partnership with Maine SNAP-Ed.

Each week children who attend the market can go to the info booth and receive a $2 voucher to purchase produce.

This program aims to encourage healthy eating habits, introduce kids to the growers of their food in their community, and inspire them to make healthy choices while shopping. This program will also support our local farmers with increased sales.

Several weeks throughout the summer, we will feature special games and prizes to go along with this program and make it even more fun for the kids.

On June 6th opening day; Emily Estell from Maine SNAP-ed will be hosting a game and have a special activity bag for every child who participates.
