MudCity Clay is offering Summer Art Camps once again! Combining both clay and mixed-media art-making, campers will spend their days creating, exploring, and engaging in hands-on artistic experiences in the MudRoom.
Designed for ages 5–13, these creative camps encourage self-expression, imagination, and artistic skill-building in a fun and supportive environment. Choose from four unique summer sessions filled with clay, art, creative play, and exploration.

HEATHER ZEE’S CREATURE FEATURE CAMP 2026
WITH HEATHER / FOR KIDS AGE 9-13
Deep sea dwellers, gnarly gnomes, curious critters, and legendary beasts are all welcome during Heather Zee’s Creature Feature. Heather invites young makers ages 9 to 13 to spend a week dreaming up and building their own weird and wonderful creations. Using clay, cardboard, fiber, and found objects, students will sculpt, layer, paint, and build delightfully strange beings with their own unique style. From shimmering sea serpents to giant bugs and wee forest friends, anything goes! Campers will explore texture, color, and storytelling while breathing life into their creations. At the end of the week, they will take home not only their masterpieces but loads of inspiration for future projects.

FAIRY DWELLINGS CAMP 2026
WITH AMY / FOR KIDS AGE 5-8
Jump into a magical world of whimsy and creativity with Amy! Young artists ages 5-8, will explore concepts of fairy houses! Using clay, found objects, and elements from nature, students will explore texture and imprint techniques. They will draw, paint, and use mixed media to create secret places, creatures, and their very own clay fairy houses. All things made will be perfect for a yard, garden, or home. They will learn how to incorporate a variety of found natural treasures to bring their fairy homes to life. With guidance and plenty of imaginative freedom, each child will create magical one-of-a-kind pieces to add a touch of enchantment into any space. Let’s build a place where fairies can truly feel at home!

All of our 4 + 8-week sessions for kids include clay, access to the studio glazes, and the firing of all your finished work.
Our Little Kids Clay Sessions (ages 5-8) run in 4 week intervals and we offer longer 8 week sessions to our Bigger Kids (ages 9-13).
LITTLE KIDS CLAY JUNE 2026
WITH AMY / FOR KIDS AGES 5-8
This 4-week class offers young artists ages 5-8 the opportunity to explore their creativity while experiencing the messy fun of clay. Guided by the teacher, students will learn the whole process of making forms from start to finish using various building techniques including wedging, slabwork, coiling, pinching, and stamping. Using decorative and colorful underglazes and glazes, as well as occasional mixed media materials, students will create unique and imaginative works of art to take home. Clay and glazed are included.
Best for: All skill levels welcome. These classes may also be repeated, the instructors will skillfully meet the needs of all levels.

OPEN STUDIO FOR HOMESCHOOLERS
We offer an open studio class for homeschoolers ages 7-13 where students will learn the fundamentals of hand-building with clay in small groups. This class runs periodically throughout the year.

WITH JEN / FOR HOMESCHOOL KIDS AGES 7-13
This Open Studio clay art class for homeschoolers ages 7-13, teaches the fundamentals of working with the medium of clay to create both functional and sculptural works of art.
