Decorative gingerbread houses you’ll be tempted to eat and recreate!

One of our family traditions when I was growing up was to set a day aside, before Christmas, to make gingerbread houses. We went ALL out – from making homemade gingerbread molds, creating our own icing and using unique and decorative candies to make our houses look like dreamy wonderlands!

As excited as I was (and still am!) to make these sugary houses, they are very time consuming! Whether you have a family tradition of making gingerbread houses or not, you will surely appreciate all of the gingerbread houses on display at the Portsmouth Historical Society this December.

Members of the community have gathered together to create their own gingerbread houses/buildings, and you will be wowed at their creativity and attention to detail! Just make sure to only view with your eyes and not your hands – you’ll be tempted to take a bite out of these sweet creations!
