Sweetheart Ball – York Parks & Rec
When: Thursday, February 5th, 2026 | 5:00-6:30pm
Where: The Meeting House at the Union Bluff, York, ME
Kids aged 4-12 accompanied by an adult figure of their choosing.
This is our 10th Annual Sweetheart Ball! Come treat your child to a festive evening of dressing up and dancing. A photo area will be set up, complete with fun accessories. This semi-formal event will include family friendly music, dancing, and light refreshments. Space is limited and pre-registration is a must for this event, we suggest registering early as we anticipate a sellout again this year!
Cost: $30 per couple / $10 each extra guest
Portsmouth Rec’s Be My Valentine – Family Dance
When: Saturday, February 7, 2026 | 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Community Campus Gym, Portsmouth
Portsmouth Recreation invites families for a classic Valentine’s dance with a DJ spinning favorite tunes, dance contests, a red-carpet feel, and light refreshments. Dress in festive outfits and bring your dancing shoes!
Cost: $20 per family in advance / $25 at the door.
Valentine’s Dance Party (Children’s Museum of NH)
When: Sunday, February 8, 2026 | 1:00 – 3:00 pm (Dance Party 2:00 – 2:30 pm)
Where: Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, Dover
A fun event for kids and families with live music by Mr. Aaron, Valentine’s activities, crafts, and a short dance party perfect for little ones and grown-ups alike. Ticket reservations required.
Cost: $12 for members / $18 for non-members.
The Parent/Child Valentine’s Day Dance – Rochester Residents Only
When: Saturday, February 14, 2026 | 6 – 8:00 PM
Where: The Rochester Recreation & Arena, in The Rec Community Room
Join us for a fun, family night of music and dancing! The Parent/Child Valentine’s Day Dance will be held in the Rec Community Room on Saturday, February 14th from 6pm-8pm. We will have a DJ, refreshments, festive decorations, and a photo area.
This event is free, but registration is required. Only one registration is needed per party. Open to residents only. Registration opens Friday, 1/30. Space is limited, and registration will close when program is filled, or by 2/13 at noon, whichever happens sooner.
Exeter Sweetheart Dance (Family Valentine’s Dance)
When: Friday, February 20, 2026 — 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: Exeter Town Hall, 10 Front Street, Exeter, NH
Each February, Exeter Parks & Recreation hosts a festive, family-oriented evening of dancing, music, snacks, and fun at Exeter Town Hall. Music and dancing suitable for all ages and light refreshments, snacks, and pizza provided. There’s also a photo booth for fun family memories.
This event is a great family-friendly Valentine’s celebration — perfect if you’re looking to bring kids and loved ones out for a festive dance night.

“Rollercoaster” Family Dance Party (3S Artspace – Portsmouth)
When: Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Where: 3S Artspace, Portsmouth
Not strictly Valentine’s Day but great for families who want a late-February dance party. All ages welcome with music ranging from kids’ favorites to classics, plus snacks and adult refreshments available.
Cost: Pay-what-you-choose pricing helps make this super accessible.
