Camp Seawood welcomes Girl Scouts who have completed Kindergarten through grade 8 with one-week programs. Campers who have completed 5th grade and up can participate in two-week programs. Campers can be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up by 5:00 p.m. Be sure to look for new troop and family experiences this summer.
For over 40 years our trusted and qualified staff have helped campers make new friends, learn new skills, and make great memories. Theme weeks keep things fun, and every camper has the opportunity to experience their favorite camp activities like campfire cooking, traversing our bouldering wall/low ropes course, sing-alongs, crafts and more!
Camp Seawood specialty programs will enhance your camper’s summer experience. Expand upon their creativity skills as they create art while adventuring through all camp has to offer. Practice their target sport skills with slingshots, archery and airsoft rifles.

Prehistoric Party
Explore and celebrate the past! From the dinosaurs to the cavepeople, learn what life was like on planet Earth millions of years ago. Try your hand at archeology as we discover how scientists learned about the different types of dinosaurs and how early humans survived without technology. We’ll dig up camp’s hidden secrets, stomp as dinosaurs to leave our tracks on camp, and make primitive tools to create our own cave paintings.

STEM Superheroes
Discover the intersection where fantasy meets science! Learn about your favorite superheroes from movies and comics, our everyday superheroes in STEM fields, and become a superhero in your own community. We’ll test our superpowers through a series of STEM challenges. Calculate the speed and trajectory of your arrows, engineer a crane from natural materials, protect an egg from a drop, and find the math in nature. How will you save the world?

Program Aide Training
Program Aides are role models for younger Girl Scouts. Work towards the Cadette Program Aide Award by learning and developing your strengths as you prepare to work with younger campers. Enjoy a fun camp week while learning to create and facilitate activities. Learn how to get to know your group, explore what type of leader you want to be, assist and observe camp staff, set goals, lead activities, and reflect on your growth as a leader.

Mix it Up!
Mix it up this week as you create something surprising and new! Try out painting, sculpting, beading, and more. Then discover how different types of arts and craft materials can mix to create awesome projects. We’ll make watercolor art with crayons, sculpt mosaic vases with clay and colorful tiles, make stamps from nature, and paint with yarn. What media will you mix?

Fashionistas
Roll out the red carpet, the fashionistas are making their grand debut at camp this week! Join us to find your style as we learn about clothing design, make our own clothing, and put on a fashion show for the whole camp. Spend the week playing games to learn about clothes from different time periods, have fun dancing to discover how clothes move, and make an outfit out of recycled items. You will get a chance to experiment with different materials and walk the runway like the fashionista you are!

Paint Palooza
Invite color into camp as you paint with the world around you! Paint wearable art and make your own watercolor paints from pigments naturally found in foods and natural resources. Explore various techniques like salt and string painting and complete a collaborative project with everyone in your group. Spend the week filling your portfolio with watercolor paintings, LEGO block print paintings, spin & splatter paintings, and more, before coming together to paint the camp gaga pit for future campers to enjoy!

Curious Critters
Unleash your curiosity as you learn about the critters that take up residence on camp and explore their various habitats. Observe the birds and chipmunks in the trees, the bugs under the rocks and logs, and the animals that dash through the field! Make a habitat snow globe to explore different biomes, play games to identify animal tracks, and act out your favorite critters for your camp friends. What critters do you think you’ll see? $350

Insect Investigators
Don your detective hats and bug nets for this week of camp. Use clues to search for insects on your letterboxing adventure. Make bug crafts, learn about bug habitats, and make a mini hotel for the camp bugs to live in. We’ll also set up and solve clues, make our own stamps, and hide bug-themed letterboxes for our Curious Critters to find. Campers will earn the Brownie Bugs and Brownie Letterboxer badges as we learn all there is to know about bugs and letterboxing!

Flower Fiends
Study the native plants at camp and discover what allows them to thrive in their environment. Learn about hardiness zones, the best flowers for each season, and how to save seeds to plant the next year. Then design your plans for your dream garden and do some planting for other campers to enjoy. Make flower crafts, learn about the importance of pollinators, experiment with sprouting seeds, and more. Campers will earn the Junior Gardner and Junior Flowers badges as we become flower enthusiasts. Don’t forget to pack your green thumb!

Leadership Programs
Program Aide – Service Hours
Program Aides are role models for younger Girl Scouts. As a Program Aide at camp, you’ll turn some of your favorite activities into fun experiences for younger campers. In doing so, you’ll help build their confidence as well as your own. Practicing these leadership skills will help you lead in your school and other roles you may take on in your community. This week you will earn over 25 of community service hours helping lead younger campers.
Cadettes who have completed the Program Aide Training can sign up for up to two weeks of Program Aide Volunteer Hours. A fee is charged to cover the cost of staff supervision, leadership coaching, material supplies, and a cookout meal.

Counselor in Training (CIT)
Counselors-in-Training (CITs) are role models for younger Girl Scouts who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey and are interested in becoming a day camp counselor. CITs in the first year of their training will learn about age characteristics of children, explore conflict resolution, and behavior support techniques while continuing to enjoy camp activities with other CITs. Interview, observe, and assist camp staff, lead group activities like songs and games, and make a difference as you continue to develop your leadership skills. CITs in the second year of their training will continue to put your skills into practice and dive deep into the responsibilities of a camp counselor. Plan and lead activities for younger campers, facilitate a service project, practice creating schedules, and practice effective group management techniques. Increase your skills in specific activity areas that interest you and shadow program or administration camp staff to see how they support camp.

Financial Assistance (Campership)
Campership is available for up to one-half the cost of one summer camp program for qualifying girls who are Girl Scout members and live within our GSGWM council area. To apply for campership, register online for the program your camper would like to attend. If you are not a Girl Scout, you will need to purchase Girl Scout membership; see registration section above. Under merchandise, you will see apply for financial aid as an option. Select that, then proceed to check out and pay the deposit with a credit card. Once your registration has been submitted, you will receive an email with a link to the campership application form. Please fill this out promptly for our review.
