Camp Cody: Your Partner in Parenting
As directors, we appreciate the trust you place in us each summer, and we take our responsibility for your camper’s experience very seriously. Accordingly, our primary focus is maintaining a safe and respectful environment that encourages both personal growth and creates an unforgettable summer experience. Regardless of what age a camper joins us, we work hard to make them feel like part of the Cody family.
Focus on the Individual
At Camp Cody, we believe that carefully tailoring the summer experience to the individual camper creates, on a larger scale, a successful and enjoyable summer for all campers. In advance of camp, we conduct home visits or connect with parents so that we get to know our campers’ background and interests. Using this information, we work with each camper to choose a schedule that incorporates his or her individual interests while still challenging him or her to try new things and build new skill sets.

Location
Camp Cody is located in Freedom, New Hampshire on the shores of Ossipee Lake — two hours north of Boston, Massachusetts and five hours from New York City. Waking up to mist rising from a glass-like Ossipee Lake (perfect for early morning water-skiing), never ceases to amaze. Our lakefront campus—that features a mile of private waterfront—is tucked away, surrounded by tall pines and natural beauty, with the White Mountain National Forest as our backdrop. Because of our easily accessible location, this incredible setting serves as the home-away-from-home for campers from all around the world.

Programs for Ages 7-17
Pioneers (Ages 7–9)
Pioneers are our youngest campers in the Cody family, and for most, it’s their first time at summer camp! To provide our “Pios” with the attention that first-time campers need, our counselor-to-camper ratio is higher than in the other divisions.
Our youngest campers are also under the watchful eyes of our caring Camp Moms who are attentive to each child’s needs and help to maintain hygiene, clean clothes, keep teeth brushed, hair shampoo’d, sunscreen applied and kids hydrated.
They are never alone and are always surrounded by a caring group of people who feel just like family.
Juniors (Ages 10–11)
For many Juniors, it’s their first time away at camp but Cody has everything they need to have a great summer – a cabin full of friends and counselors ready to have fun and embark on new, exciting adventures! Juniors moving up from the Pioneers division will enjoy additional electives, later bedtimes and more trips to choose from.
There is no shortage of activities to choose from at Cody, and Juniors get four electives every day. With our Progressive Programming, each activity varies based on the camper’s age and skill level, so they are guaranteed to have the best and most rewarding experience possible.
Our Juniors can choose from anything and everything, from wake boarding, field hockey, yoga, to mountain biking, kayaking and so much more. Their elective activities allow them to interact with other Juniors outside their cabin as well as some of the younger Inters.
Inters (Ages 12–13)
Inters are the second eldest division, and with that comes both freedom and responsibility. Inters may choose five electives and maintain their packed schedules themselves.
Some Inters have spent previous summers at Cody while many others are first-time campers. This means that returning campers will always have new friends to make and new campers will always be warmly welcomed into the Cody family.
Seniors (Ages 14–15)
Our Seniors are the eldest division in the Cody family. They know that the youngest divisions admire them — especially those who grew up in the younger divisions — and, just like in high school, being a Senior is coveted.
They have the most electives, the latest bedtimes, more frequent and long-lasting social events and activities and they even have their own ‘Senior Lounge’!
Teen Leadership (Ages 16–17)
Seniors may be our eldest camper division in the Cody family, but beyond is the Teen Leadership Program. This program is comprised of 16-year-old Counselors In Training (CITs) and our 17-year-old Junior Counselors (JCs).
Both groups are in leadership training roles and work closely with counselors, coaches and mentors to learn the ropes.

The best way to experience the magic of camp is to schedule a visit and see it for yourself. We’d love to accompany you on a private tour. We hold private tours all year, where families can tour our grounds, cabins, and experience lakeside life at Cody. That said, there is nothing like a tour during the summer.
Your child will get to experience a bit of what Camp Cody has to offer, and we’ve been known to spot a touring family playing around on the Wibit.
