The Daly Family’s Festival of Lights – 30th Anniversary Lighting

November 29 @ 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM

We are proud to announce our opening night for our 2020 30th Anniversary show! Sunday November 29th. Please arrive by 4:30. Lights to go on shortly after. This has been a tough year for everyone for many different reasons. We all seem to be divided on many different topics. It’s time we come together for something we can all enjoy. We invite you to come see our lights and take some time to remember what is truly important: Family, friends and loved ones.

Talking to my fellow Christmas light enthusiasts, we believe this will be our busiest year ever. Everyone needs something to do and a little cheer and happiness in their lives. We ask that you PLEASE respect those around you who are watching the show and PLEASE respect our neighbors.

This years opening night will be fluid. Meaning we are setting plans, but they may change at any moment. Our 2020 show will be a little different because of the Corona virus. Here is what opening light will look like.

Things what will stay the same: Lights will go on sometime after 4:30 pm. I will be out directing traffic with my orange vest and blinking Christmas light hat. We will be collecting for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Things that have changed: Santa will come down the driveway and stop short just before the street so he can greet all the kids. Santa needs to keep his distance to he can deliver all his presents this year. We will not be collecting non-perishable food donations. WE WILL collect cash donations for local food pantries in our donation box. We will have 2 donation boxes: one for food donations and one for St. Jude.

The standing area that I rope off will double in size to allow for more social distancing. MASKS WILL BE MANDITORY. This is required as our first night has more than 100 people and The Governors current mandate requires masks for gatherings with more than 100 people. Those who do not where mask will be asked to leave or sit in their cars and believe me, after working in a supermarket for the whole pandemic I’m not shy. We realize that some people do not wish to wear a mask so we invite you to see our display any other night. It will be running every night until New Year Eve. Remember this is a fun filled night for kids and we wish to keep it that way.

Things we will NOT have this year. We will not be giving out glow necklaces and hot chocolate. Due to the extreme drought we will not be having fireworks this year. We will not be having someone from the crowd use the Big Red Button to start the show. The show will start automatically (if I can get it all to work. LOL)

We hope you all enjoy our 2020 30th Anniversary show!!!

Please Remember to be kind

Thank You, The Daly Family
