Beginning on October 3rd, and running through October 16th, the general public is invited to cast ballots in support of which scarecrows show the most Amesbury Pride, which one stands out as a general favorite, and which one best incorporates the 2022 theme – which is Creative Creatures! Ballots will be available at local businesses, listed below as we get closer to the contest!

Chamber of Commerce as well as select Chamber member businesses. Completed ballots must be returned to the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce Office. There is no limit to the number of times a person can submit a ballot, but we ask that visitors please respect the good fun (and hard work of our creators) by employing the honor system – don’t stuff the ballot box! There is also a fourth category where visitors to the Chamber’s Facebook page can like the photos of their favorite scarecrows, with the creator of the scarecrow whose picture gets the most likes getting awarded a prize.

Votes will be tallied and winners announced on October 18th. The designer of each winning scarecrow will win a $100.00 gift certificate to a local business of their choice (the business must be a member of the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce). Additionally, during the course of this contest, local businesses will be sponsoring their own prize opportunities for both designers and the general public.
