Punch Needle Mug Rugs (Coasters)!
Discover the satisfying craft of punch needling! Perfect for beginning and experienced fiber artists alike, this class will introduce you to the fundamentals of creating beautiful, textured surfaces using a punch needle and yarn. You will learn the essential basics of this medium, including setting up your fabric on a frame, mastering the proper technique for looping the yarn, and how to finish your piece. Working with colorful yarns, you will create a customized ‘mug rug’ (coaster) to brighten your home or use as a small wall hanging. This is a wonderfully meditative and accessible craft—there are endless possibilities once you have mastered the technique! (Ages 13+)
