Listen, moms love to brunch and there are some really amazing seacoast restaurants that put on a great Sunday brunch. But let’s be honest – moms (especially moms with littles) don’t always get to REALLY enjoy brunch the way they’d like to on Mother’s Day. So let’s let moms do brunch another weekend and perhaps this year in particular with other moms instead.

More than 20 varieties in bloom here at Tulip Fest! Visit Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury for the Cut-Your-Own Tulips events this Mother’s Day weekend. Tickets will become available on Thursday 5/6 at 5 pm. First come first serve.

Bring your mom to Portsmouth Historical Society on May 9th and she gets in for free!

Portsmouth Harbor Cruises
Mothers will ride for free on all trips on Mother’s Day, May 9th. We plan on offering 4-5 trips around Portsmouth Harbor starting at noon on that day. As of right now, we will be running at limited capacity, so we expect to sell out early.

Strawbery Banke Museum
Join Strawbery Banke for a special Mother’s Day tour celebrating Puddle Dock families and their matriarchs. During a 60-minute guided tour, explore three historic houses, meet a costumed roleplayer, and learn the meaning of family throughout history. Limited tickets are available for each guided tour. Advanced ticket purchase here is strongly encouraged. Sunday, May 9th, 10am – 3pm.

Acorn School’s Plant Sale
Support a sweet school while finding the perfect gift for Mom! Pick out house plants, fruit and vegetable plants, perennials, hanging baskets and more! There will also be some really fun gift basket raffles happening there too! Saturday May 8th from 10:00am – 1:00pm at Barker’s Farm in Stratham, NH.

Captain’s Cove Adventure Golf
Mom’s play mini golf for free on Mother’s Day – Sunday May 9th! After a round of golf, treat your mom to some ice cream!

Bowl-O-Rama
Bowl-O-Rama in Portsmouth is really upping their Mother’s Day game this year! All moms get 10 minutes of free bowling, free shoe rental, plus the first 2 dozen moms get a free rose from Maplewood Florist!

Mother’s Day Picnic To Go or Book a Private Rental
Purchase a picnic to go from O’Neil Cinemas in Epping, NH. Check out the yummy picnic menu offerings here!
Another option is to book a private movie theatre screening for the whole family!

Kids Mother’s Day Flower Container Workshop at Churchill’s

11th Annual Mother’s Day Weekend Craft Festival
Held a the scenic Town Common in Hampton Falls, NH. More than 75 juried craftspeople will display and sell their American-made works, including stained glass, original watercolors, photography, pottery, carved wildlife, folk art, hand-crafted soaps, country wood, quilts, doll clothes, fine jewelry, floral design and more. Come and sample the culinary delights of herbal dips, kettle corn, maple, pickles, jams, jellies, lemonade, homemade fudge, oils, sauces and more. Saturday May 8th 10am-5pm and Sunday May 9th 10am-4 pm.

Fuller Gardens Plant Sale
Does Mom like to garden? If so, then take her to Fuller Gardens in North Hampton, NH to pick from hundreds of field grown hardy perennials, potted hardy rose bushes of all varieties and herbs. A fun event for all ages; there’s something for everyone! You won’t want to miss this annual event that runs rain or shine. Dates: May 7-9.

Smolak Farms
Offering Mother’s Day Picnics in the orchards of Smolak Farms in North Andover, MA. Relax outside on a blanket or at a picnic table with those you love, celebrating the special Mom in your life! We’re offering a variety of different picnic basket options, we have blankets you can borrow, and laminated bird watching guides you can! Orders must be placed by Friday, May 7th.
