Daniel Tiger Visits Seashore

Seashore Trolley Museum, the world’s first and largest public trolley museum, is excited to welcome back Daniel Tiger from the PBS KIDS TV series “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19.
Guests will hop on a trolley shuttle to meet and take photos with Daniel and Seashore’s 126-year-old Biddeford & Saco Co. No. 31 trolley, which was the very first piece to be acquired by the museum in 1939. They can also enjoy other activities, including visiting Maine Public Television’s play tent, decorating their own Daniel Tiger sugar cookies, and embarking on a 3.5-mile round-trip trolley journey on the historic Atlantic Shore Line Railway.
Debuting on the long-running classic children’s TV program “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood,” Daniel Tiger has been the star of his own animated/live action educational TV series, “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,’’ since 2012. Four-year-old Daniel and his friends ride a semi-sentient trolley and navigate everyday preschool challenges such as sharing, dealing with disappointment, or going to the doctor.
Tickets to “Daniel Tiger Visits Seashore!” are $15 per person. Children ages 2 and younger as well as all trolley museum members will be admitted for free. The museum works hard to avoid any potential crowding at its events by selling a limited amount of tickets for each trolley departure time. Guests are strongly advised to purchase their tickets in advance at danieltiger.eventbrite.com. This event will be held rain or shine.
“Daniel Tiger Visits Seashore!” is made possible by Maine Public. Daniel Tiger will be visiting from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Seashore Trolley Museum is located at 195 Log Cabin Road, Kennebunkport, ME.
