Fun-for-all-ages seasonal exhibit returns—filled with classic charm, hands-on activities, and a captivating wintry environment brimming with nostalgia!
Explore intricate miniature train displays featuring snow-covered peaks, colorful landscapes, and detailed scenes complete with décor, buildings, and tiny townsfolk. Watch model trains of various scales power along their tracks through delightful, meticulously crafted settings.
Guests of all ages can enjoy a range of interactive experiences:
- “drive” a train through a snowy mountain scene
- discover trains from around the world
- compose your own symphony using train sounds and musical elements.
Little engineers will love exploring wooden train tables, brio layouts, and a design-a-train activity in the expanded play area.

When you’re visiting the Exhibit Halls, catch a show in the Planetarium, Omni, or 4-D Theater for a discounted rate. Discounts are offered in conjunction with Exhibit Halls admission. Add these experiences to your order after selecting admission tickets.

Add-Ons to Enhance your Experience:
Complementing the exhibit, the Museum will offer guests more themed fun in its theaters. The Mugar Omni Theater will be showing the captivating film Train Time. Admission is $5-$10pp for this 45 minute film. 4-D Films require Exhibit Halls tickets and the purchase of a separate 4-D timed ticket. Please be sure to add your timed ticket during checkout.
Capacity is limited, so it’s strongly recommended that you reserve your tickets in advance. To ensure you have a safe and T-rex-cellent experience, the Museum will admit a reduced number of visitors each day. That’s more Museum for you!
