6 Teacher Gift Ideas for the Holidays

6 Teacher Gift Ideas for the Holidays! If anyone’s ever popped in unexpectedly at school to see one teacher handling a room of 12+ little ones, you know how hard they work! This time of year is our opportunity to tell those special people who care, teach, love and nurture our children every day how much we value their super-human efforts. Check out a few of our ideas for getting the message across during the holiday season.

#1 Canvas Tote
I have no less than 5 monogrammed totes from L.L.Bean (not a paid endorsement, unfortunately) because they are incredibly useful. With everything teachers have to carry around, this gift is a winner.tote

#2 Coffee Certificates
This one’s a layup. Even a $5 gift certificate from your local coffee roaster or Dunkin’ makes anyone’s day. Throw in a travel mug with a sweet note inside. Done!

#3 Classroom Supplies
Many teachers pay for school supplies out of their own pockets, so a gift basket filled with pencils, erasers, stapler, stickers, dry erase markers, highlighters, etc. is a great idea.

#4 Note Cards
Spoiler Alert for my kids’ teachers– this is my personal go-to gift! Buy a package of 50 cute note cards and envelopes from craft stores like Michael’s for around $15. Divvy them up between teachers and make small packs tied together with some pretty ribbon. Adorable.

#5 Group Gifts
When you can gather together a group of parents to pitch in on a certificate, now you’re cookin’ with a great gift to somewhere everyone loves like Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Homegoods. Yes, please!

#6 Seasonal Theme Gifts
Winter’s here! Get them something they can use during the cold weather season like soothing hand lotion (skip the crazy fragranced ones), a cozy throw blanket or a pair of fuzzy mittens and hand warmer packets. Practical and fun!

You don’t have to get the *perfect* gift, just get creative and make it look beautiful– presentation shows you care.

Whatever you decide, don’t forget to include a personal note of thanks. Sometimes hearing that is all they need!
