Saint Mary’s Academy is proud to present Disney’s Aladdin Jr.! Our cast and crew consist of over 70 dedicated and talented 3-8 grade students. Bring the whole family. This is going to be one show you won’t want to miss!
About Aladdin Jr.
Aladdin Jr. tells the story of a young street rat who tries to win the affection of Princess Jasmine. The story would not be complete without the evil villain, Jafar, and Aladdin’s friend, the Genie of the Lamp. This is the stage version of the 1992 Disney movie that features award-winning songs: “A Whole New World,” “Arabian Nights,” “Prince Ali” and “Friend Like Me.

PAPA Presents ‘Aladdin’
Portsmouth Academy of Performing Arts welcomes families to their production of the classic tale, Aladdin, performed by local student actors in grades 6-12!
From the day Aladdin was born he held within him the need to thieve. He wants more than anything to change his ways so that he will not disappoint his mother anymore…but still he thieves. One evening, after being scolded for stealing from the local Chinese restaurant, there is a knock at the door for Aladdin. He opens the door to find his destiny and heads off on an adventure to find an invaluable magic lamp and bring it to the most cunning and cold-hearted guy to have ever lived; The King of the Thieves…otherwise known as Aladdin’s father, but neither of them know that yet…

Bravo! Young Musicians Concert
In cooperation with the Portsmouth Music and Arts Center, the library will host its first annual BRAVO! concert, featuring dedicated young musicians of the Seacoast. This year the performers are the advanced classical piano students, ages 12 – 18, of instructors Paul Dykstra and Gregg Pauley.
Students will play works by Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, Debussy, and other composers from the heyday of the piano.
Come hear some very talented young musicians at a concert at the Portsmouth Public Library!

Sandpipers Seacoast Children’s Chorus Spring Concert
The Sandpipers continues its tradition of offering high-quality, affordable performances that showcase the dedication of its young singers. “How Can I Keep From Singing” featuring nine fine choral pieces sung by the auditioned boys’ and girls’ treble chorus for seacoast singers 7-14. Composers include Benjamin Britten, Giacomo Rossini and John Carter’s “Will You Walk A Little Faster” from “Alice in Wonderland.” The Sandpipers are led by Artistic Director Priscilla French and accompanied by pianist Mary Towse-Beck.
