Seacoast Halloween Trick-or-Treating events perfect for the younger crowd!

Listen, if you’re giving out candy, I’ll be there.

Have some kids who feel the same way? Here’s a list of area trick-or-treating events that are perfect for the younger revelers who may appreciate a more day-lit, non-scary atmosphere to house a bag of candy.

All events are free unless otherwise stated.

Trick or Treat at Charmingfare Farm
October 19, 20, 26, & 27; 10am-4pm
This event perfect for little ghouls and boils who don’t wish to be frightened but still want the excitement of wearing their favorite costume and having a fun filled Halloween adventure. This event is merry-not-scary! Admission $22-$25 per person and includes all activities inside the farm. For more info, visit visitthefarm.com.

Exeter Halloween Parade & Trick-or-Treat
Saturday, October 26, 10am-2:30pm
Exeter’s annual Halloween Parade & costume judging will be held Saturday, October 26 at 10:00am. It kicks off at Swasey Parkway. Following the parade, there will be trick-or-treating downtown from 11:30am to 2:30pm. The parade route starts at 10:30am at the Water Street end of the Parkway and finishes at the center pavilion, where there will be refreshments and best costume awards at 11:30am. Rochester Trick-or-Treat on the Town and Zombie Walk
Friday, October 25, 4pm-6pm
This fun, popular downtown event will start at 4:00pm and last through 6:00pm for costumed children 10-years-old and younger. The children are invited to go door-to-door at the local participating businesses to get treats and goodies. Participants are asked to gather in the Union Street parking lot at 4:00pm to pick up treat bags and maps indicating participating businesses. Bags and maps will be available until 5:00pm or until they are gone! The young children’s event is followed by the popular and ghoulishly delightful Zombie Walk for teens and adults starting at 7:00pm. Newburyport Downtown Trick or Treat
Friday, October 25, 4pm-5pm
Swing on down to the beautiful waterfront in Newburyport as they celebrate Halloween for a special Halloween trick-or-treat event intended for small children accompanied by an adult. Downtown Newburyport trick-or-treat locations include The Tannery Marketplace, Market Square, Merrimac, State, Pleasant, Inn and Water Streets. Downtown Dover Trick-Or-Treats
Saturday, October 26, 11am-2pm
Dover Main Street welcomes you to dress up in your favorite costumes and join us on Saturday, October 26 for the Downtown Dover trick-or-treats at tons of your favorite businesses from 11am – 2pm! Come pick up your Map at the Cocheco Mills Courtyard. The first 250 kids to get to the courtyard get a free trick-or-treat bag! At 12:15 we will have a costume contest for the following categories: Adult best dressed, teen best Halloween spirit, child best dressed and family themed costumes. Newmarket Halloween Haunt
Saturday, October 26, 2pm-6pm
The Newmarket Recreation’s Annual Halloween Haunt promises to be bigger and better than ever this year! There will be a variety of all-ages free, fun, somewhat spooky activities, games, candy and prizes. Get a lift from the spooky shuttle bringing people from the Rec to trick-or-treat at many of the businesses on Main Street (look for the Halloween Haunt logo at storefronts for participating businesses). Downtown Trick-or-Treat & Main Street Monster Mash Bash
Saturday, October 26, 2pm-4pm
Join us on October 26 for a fun afternoon of trick-or-treating throughout Downtown Durham! Many of the local business, organizations, and UNH student groups set up trick-or-treat stops throughout town! Music, game and activities will be set up on Main Street and Jenkins Court. Trick or Treat Corn Maze at Coppal House Farm
Saturday, October 26, 4pm-5pm
Don your Halloween costumes and grab your bags for there is candy to be had! Do your trick-or-treating this year inside our 6.5 acre River Otter Corn Maze. Staff will be waiting to receive you in kid friendly costumes and baskets of goodies. Ages 12 and under for trick-or-treating. Only $5 per trick-or-treater, chaperones are free! Trick or Treat with Wildlife
Wednesday, October 30, 2pm-4pm
Join Center for Wildlife’s ambassador’s, staff, and volunteers for our annual Trick or Treat with the Ambassadors! This fun family event allows everyone to dress up and enjoy cider, doughnuts, and more! Violet our non-releasable turkey vulture ambassador will be sure to be intrigued by all the friendly ghouls and goblins and Henry our non-releasable North American porcupine ambassador is sure to be enjoying a jack-o-lantern treat!
