Seacoast Halloween Trick-or-Treating events perfect for the younger crowd!

Have some kids who feel the same way? Here’s a list of area trick-or-treating events that are perfect for the younger revelers who may appreciate a more day-lit, non-scary atmosphere to house a bag of candy.

Halloween Boo Bash & Trick-or-Treating at Fox Run Mall
Saturday, October 21, 12pm-2pm
Calling all ghosts, goblins, princesses, super heroes and more to dress the part and come enjoy this spook-tacular afternoon of family fun. There will be a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, crafts and activities, and of course, trick-or-treating! Meet in Center Court in front of Sears anytime between 12pm-2pm. Exeter Halloween Parade & Trick-or-Treat
Friday, October 27, 3:30pm-6pm
Every Halloween season, Exeter puts on a great family-friendly evening that starts and ends with trick-or-treating with a parade thrown in the middle! Led by the Exeter High School Blue Hawks Band, the parade will begin at Swasey Parkway, through downtown and Phillips Exeter Academy and returning back to Swasey Parkway. Costume judging and trick-or-treating from downtown businesses will begin at 3:30pm with the parade following at 4:30pm. Rochester Trick-or-Treat on the Town and Zombie Walk
Friday, October 27, 4:30-8pm
Hosted by Rochester Main Street, this event is geared towards costumed children 10-years-old and younger. Gather at 4:15-5:15pm in the Union Street parking lot to pick up treat bags and maps, then go door-to-door at the local businesses to get treats and goodies until 6:15pm. Check out the strolling entertainment, too! The young children’s event is followed by the popular and ghoulishly delightful Zombie Walk for teens and adults. Newburyport Downtown Trick or Treat
Friday, Saturday 27, 4pm-5pm
Swing on down to the beautiful waterfront in Newburyport as they celebrate Halloween for a special Halloween trick-or-treat event intended for small children accompanied by an adult. Downtown Newburyport trick-or-treat locations include The Tannery Marketplace, Market Square, Merrimac, State, Pleasant, Inn and Water Streets.

Downtown Dover Trick-Or-Treats
Saturday, October 28, 11am-2pm
Once again, Dover Main Street has organized a festive and safe Halloween event with downtown merchants. Enjoy trick-or-treating with your children while walking around historic downtown Dover to receive candies and creative gifts from downtown businesses. The first 300 kids to check-in will receive a free trick-or-treat bag. This event is held rain or shine. Visit dovermainstreet.org for more info.

Newmarket Halloween Haunt
Saturday, October 28, 2pm-5pm
The Newmarket Recreation’s Annual Halloween Haunt promises to be bigger and better than ever this year! There will be a variety of all-ages free, fun, somewhat spooky activities, games, candy and prizes. Get a lift from the spooky shuttle bringing people from the Rec to trick-or-treat at many of the businesses on Main Street (look for the Halloween Haunt logo at storefronts for participating businesses). Durham Trunk-or-Treat
Sunday, October 29, 4pm-7pm
The Durham Evangelical Church at 114 Dover Road offers a safe way to enjoy the Fall season with your family. Kids can go from trunk to trunk to receive pre-packaged candy from costumed car owners. Nothing scary, only fun for kids and adults of all ages. For more info, visit durhame.org.
