Free Saturdays at Fort Stark. Check out the new Shipwreck Exhibit!

The Visitor Center at Fort Stark State Park will be open for visitors free on Saturdays through Labor Day 2011. A beautiful spot, Fort Stark overlooks the Piscataqua River, Little Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. The visitor’s center offers military artifacts and information about the 22nd Coastal Artillery which was headquartered at Fort Stark in New Castle.

The park also has a walking trail and information guide, a small beach and kayak access to the ocean and Little Harbor.  There are no rest rooms and only limited parking.  As this is a state park, no dogs are allowed.
