It’s SO Beautiful Out…Wait A Minute, It’s Over.

By the time I post this picture, it won’t even look like this outside anymore. I can hear the consistent and aggressive dripping outside my window which signals that my short-lived love affair with this beautiful snowfall has dramatically hit a wall. Ugh! Why can’t the trees stay snow covered and the bright white of the outdoors stick around for just a little while longer? I can guarantee that it would quiet the gripes of how miserably interminable the New England winters are if we had something pretty to look at—at least for a few days before the salt and snow plows make the ground look like it rained lead from the sky.

I really have no valid reason to complain. We haven’t had to deal with the amount of snow dumps this year as we have in years past. Hey, maybe I’ll even put on my snowpants and go for a walk in the woods…wait, let me check the weather…tomorrow: cloudy and 40?….well, that’s below my minimum temperature of 70? for outdoor activities so I guess we can file that as a “not gonna happen”.

I don’t care what that idiot ground hog and his dumb shadow saw, I’m banking on Spring coming soon. In fact, it’s only 32 days away. In the meantime, I’m going to try and enjoy the outdoor beauty for as long as Mother Nature allows us. It was spectacular to see this morning, and I’m grateful for that.
