Free Admission To CMNH This Thursday Night, 10/21!

The communities of Rochester, Somersworth, Dover and Farmington are hosting a community wide celebration of quality after school programs on Thursday, October 21, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire.

Please join us to celebrate and recognize 21st Century Community Learning Centers and extended day learning programs to show your support and commitment. This event is open for everyone.

Last year this free event brought out more than 250 community members. Families shared an exciting night of performances from our youth, arts and craft activities, free admission to the Children’s Museum and snacks and refreshments. We expect this year to be packed with even more performances, demonstrations and family friendly activities.

After school programs are an integral part of Somersworth, Dover, Rochester, and Farmington communities. Programs provide safe and enriching environments to help students learn, grow, and have fun. This is an opportunity for us to showcase and celebrate all of the great programs in our communities. Across the country, there will be similar events occurring in over 7,500 communities.

“Lights On Afterschool” starts at 5 p.m. at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire on 6 Washington St. in Dover. Free refreshments will be provided. Highlights of this celebration include: Free tour of the hands-on museum, Junk to Funk performances, Dover Mounted Patrol, duct tape art, Cup Stacking Challenge, and presentations from the after school programs.

Please join us to celebrate quality after school programs in our community that enrich the lives of students and families!
