Feeling hot, hot, hot! Why grilling is the way to go.

If you’re like me, one of the things I really look forward to in the summer is eating outside and grilling. Less mess, tasty flavors, it just feels more relaxed. Sometimes we fail to give the grill the respect it deserves because it’s way more indispensible than we realize—it’s our multi-functional friend! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…

It’s Too Hot To Turn On The Oven.
Why cook inside where it’s stuffy and warm? Take your cooking outside, catch a cool breeze and enjoy what’s left of the day’s sunshine.

It’s Healthier.
Barbecuing meats on the grill not only adds a delicious smoky flavor, but foods are cooked without adding excessive amounts of unhealthy fats and oils. Arguments have been made that grilling creates certain health risks, but just follow the basic safety rules including keeping your grill clean, avoid charring meats, choose healthy foods and cook meats to the proper temperature.

It Tastes Better.
In the winter when the snow is up to my knees, I’ll pull out the indoor grill in the hopes to recreate that summertime spirit…but alas, it’s just not the same. Grilling provides that smoky flavor that just can’t be duplicated by alternative cooking methods. And it’s not just for meat. Try grilling vegetables, bread, corn on cob or even dessert! Yum!

Easy To Enlist Help.
I’m not sure if I *can’t* grill or I’ve unconsciously chosen to be really bad at it. The updside here, of course, is the ones pumping testosterone through their veins are typically and inherently good at grilling. This is a win-win because now you’ve escaped all cooking responsibilities and they’re not in the kitchen every five minutes asking when dinner is going to be ready.

The Complete Meal.
Talk about efficiency! Most grills are large enough to accommodate your entire meal, even bread and dessert. We love those grill woks and baskets that work great for seafood, potatoes, veggies or any other small foodstuffs that would generally fall through the cracks. Dinner is served!

Super Easy Clean Up.
Get yourself one of those grill brushes and scrape off the sticky stuff while the surface is still hot, comes right off. Plus, if you eat outside, the crumbs may blow away. Clean up just tends to be quicker when you cook and eat outside!
