When the calendar hits September and October, the farm and festival weekend events start up in full swing! It’s a great time to grab your brood and head down to the farm for some good ‘ol family fun.

Since 1974, Applecrest has invited the community to celebrate and share in the harvest. Weekend Festivals offer a break from the tangle of everyday living with pure and simple, honest-to-goodness family fun. They’re a time when moms and dads, grandparents and grandchildren, can reconnect with each other and with the land to make memories that last a lifetime. So, grab the gang and come visit Applecrest where, as always, admission and parking is FREE. See you at the farm!

In addition, Applecrest’s fall festivals run from 11:00am to 5:00pm, both Saturday and Sunday, every weekend, through the end of October. Here’s what you can expect:

DeMeritt Hill Farm Festivalsdemeritt

DeMeritt Hill is on a beautiful 20 acres and offers pick-your-own fruits (apples are in season!), hiking/nature trails, picnic tables, children’s play areas and farm animals every weekend. Hay rides are given on the weekends 11am to 4pm from September through October ($1 per person). The wagon will take you on a tour of the farm until it reaches the orchard where it will stop and let you off to pick apples or other produce.

You can even bring your pup as dogs are welcome on a leash. The farm store features fresh picked fruit, pumpkins organically grown produce and a large variety of locally made New Hampshire crafts. Just looking for a nice place to hang out? Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the views from the pond!

Smolak Farms in offers something fun for everyone—blending a 300 year old New England Farm complete with orchards, berry fields and family activities. This year they are so excited to be adding to their festival line up with the creation of a brand new activity area for older guest while making improvements to our tried and true children’s area.

Weekend festival activities include Bounce House, Super Slide, Face Painting, Spin Art, Cow Train rides, and access to the playground and animal areas.
