Let’s play super-parent for a day and have some yummy treats waiting for the kids when they arrive off the bus! Check out these multi-colored rice krispie treats, a great alternative to the chocolate chip cookie (ok, that’s not true, chocolate cookies are the best, but these are way easier to make).

Rainbow Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups rice krispies
  • 6 cups fruit loops
  • 6 cups cap’n crunch
  • 8 tbsp. butter (1 stick)
  • 3 packages miniature marshmallows
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla

Directions:

Prepare a 9 x 13 pan by spraying it liberally with non-stick cooking spray. In a large pot, melt butter and marshmallows over medium heat until marshmallows are fully melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and cereal until well combined. Carefully pour into prepared 9 x 13 pan. Spray hands with cooking spray and press into pan and set aside for minimum of two hours. Cut into desired squares and enjoy.
