FREE Children’s gardening series “Collecting Nature” in Dover on 7/21.

The Dover Cassily Community Garden ‘Growing Children’ Activity Series presents: “Collecting Nature”! Join us while we observe nature and natural items in and around the garden. We will decorate and fill a nature collection box for you to take home.

All programs will begin at 10:00am and run from about an hour to an hour and a half covering the featured activity as well as tending the garden (weeding, watering, noting plant progress and any issues, collecting produce, herbs and flowers for bringing home, selling to raise funds for the garden and for the food pantry donations).

We will meet at the DCCG shed at 10:00am and walk out to the Children’s Garden together. It is a good idea to wear sunscreen and a hat and bring bug spray, water and a snack.

A parent or responsible adult is requested to remain on site with the child(ren). Parents of older children are encouraged to work in the main garden while their children are participating in the Children’s activity. Parents of younger children are requested to participate with their child during the activity.

All families who take part are required to sign a waiver for the City of Dover which will be available on the day of the activity.
